The Meaning Behind the Ink
Written by Demi Muchmore Editor-In-Chief Many people have different visual opinions on tattoos. I personally believe it’s okay to have tattoos. I even want to get one, if not multiple, of my own. People portray people who have tattoos as trashy or asking for attention. I think this occurs more in high school, but if you go out and get a tattoo of a cross or a quote you are now classified as a “basic” person. If you want to put a quote on your body, then go for it. I think people mistake these quote tattoos as something they are not. For example, a permanent quote tattooed on your body might be the only thing that will get you through the day. You better think long and hard before you get any type of tattoo anywhere. At our age, most of us don’t know what we want to do as a career so if you go out and get a big colorful tattoo on your neck and later decide to be a lawyer, you will most likely not be hired.
