Promises in High School Aren't Forever

Promise rings, however, don’t always mean a commitment to be with this person throughout high school and possibly lead to marriage, but also a symbol of chastity, loyalty, monogamy, friendship or a promise to oneself. Promise rings and engagement rings are completely different and should remain that way. The ring first of all, should not be placed on the left ring finger. This finger should be kept for when you are prepared to get married with this specific person. Also, the ring should not have the appearance of an engagement ring, typically a silver band with one diamond. A relationship should also not have the pressure of getting a promise ring.
