What’s for lunch? Betty White say what?

              As of April 1st the school will no longer be providing school lunch. The school district feels that it cost too much money and they will no longer fund it.
             “I think it’s a great idea,” said lunch lady Betty White.The lunches are too much work for the lunch ladies and the board members are going to have the lunch ladies be janitors instead.
           “This school needs some cleaning up,” said Principal Will Ferrell. Students will now have to bring their own food or starve. Everyone will eat lunch at 1:15 and it will only last 10 minutes. The principal feels that we are wasting our time eating food and that learning is much more important.
           “We will now have nine periods in the day and the last period will be book club for everyone,” said Ferrell. The students do not like the idea of this and are very negative towards all of the new ideas that are popping up. The students feel like it’s not fair to give us such little time to eat and not provide us with any food.
           “I hate this idea I know what my next song will be about,” said freshman Taylor Swift.

The questions are centered on the material learned in the class throughout the semester. School Board Establishes Ban on Yoga Pants

Emily Merkle Design Editor               As of April 1, 2015, The Southeast Polk school board has established a ban on wearing yoga pants or leggings during school hours.               “The only time I can see pants like these deemed appropriate is during school sports like cross country and dance team,” said Principal Aidon Know.                The spandex apparel ban follows under the non-discrimination policy stating “ The Southeast Polk Community School District does not discriminate based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, physical attributes , physical or mental ability or disability, ancestry, political party preference, military affiliation, socioeconomic status or familial status.”              The physical attributes section is revealed in yoga pants by how tight the clothing articles are to a person’s body exposing their natural body shape.  By exposing their natural body

Stand for the Silent Posts Sticky Notes

Demi Muchmore Editor in Chief                 Notice the sticky notes on all the lockers as you’re walking in the hallway to class? You have Stand For The Silent members to thank for that. These aren’t just ordinary sticky notes, on every single sticky note there is an inspirational quote to start your day.                 During spring break, students that are a part of stand for the silent got together and made a sticky note for every single locker in this school. Mrs. Goodrich is in charge of this club and actually came up with the idea. “We did it to uplift people after coming back from break,” sophomore Cassidy Oberbroeckling said.                 When asking other students what they thought of the idea, they responded with positive feedback. “It was a very good idea and it was cool to walk around and see all of the different messages,” senior Nic Henderson said.                 Doing these creative messages can really help to brighten a student’s day after everyone
